Very Nice Hotel A traveler from Woodside, CA Visited: 07-2009We were here for a brief stay and found it to be quite pretty with lovely landscaping; nice, clean rooms; and quiet and restful. The lady at the front desk was very friendly and accommodating. We would definitely come back and will recommend it to others who may be in the Fresno area. It's a one of a kind place to stay Jeannie Lin from San Jose, CA Visited: 01-2009Clean, warm and beautiful landskaping environment with in-season organic fruits surrounded the hotel suites! Wow! What's a place to stay! Unique and amazing property Tom Bayh from Portland, Oregon Visited: 06-2009The Garden Inn and Suites is a rare jewel in hotel accommodations. In over forty years of travel to all parts of the world, including some very exclusive properties, I have not stayed at comparable sites. This is because Garden Inn is so unique. In my view, Garden Inn is the perfect scale. Not so large as to be overwhelmingly pretensions; instead precisely the correct scale for a truly personalized experience. Staying at the Garden Inn isn't just,"getting a room." It's a mini- vacation. A brief time in a pleasant oasis of relaxation and rejuvenation.
Of course, Garden Inn has all the usual amenities-pool, Jacuzzi, recreation room. The room themselves are among the best I've seen; large, well appointed, and meticulously maintained. Small patios front each entrance, ensuring privacy and a sense of one's one space. But it is the grounds and overall ambiance that sets Garden Inn far apart from other properties. The grounds are lush with fruit trees, brilliantly colored flowers, shrubs, and vegetable plantings of more varieties than I could count. Arising in morning, you can stroll within the Garden Inn compound, enjoying the fresh scent of fruit and blossoms. Beginning a day in such surroundings is a unique experience not often found.
I've read many hotel reviews, and nobody has much good to say about complimentary breakfasts. The Garden Inn is different. The complimentary breakfasts served each morning is more than unusual. Far from usual offerings of bitter coffee, stale doughnuts, and watered juice other properties provide, Garden Inn's offering is amazing. Fresh Belgian waffles made to order, toast, juice, coffee, tea, oatmeal, sausage, and eggs-all fresh and abundant. But it is the fruit that is so very special. Seasonal plums, peaches, oranges, grapes, grapefruit, persimmons, along with other special varieties are harvested daily from the Garden Inn grounds at precisely their peak of natural ripening. You won't find these organic wonders elsewhere and along are worth a visit to the Garden Inn. Breakfast al fresno, the air scented by surrounding trees which provided some of your repast is a true pleasure.
I live in Portland, Oregon and travel occasionally to Los Angeles. Nonetheless, and even though Fresno is not conveniently located for me in terms of daily driving distances, I wouldn't think of not stopping in Fresno each way to spend at laest one night at the Garden Inn and Suites. absolutely wonderful karen riglick from granite bay, ca Visited: 08-2009Very clean room, comfortable bed, beautiful landscaped grounds with patio tables, chairs and benches everywhere.
